 Court Affiliates

Recognizing that courts are increasingly interested in adopting courtroom technology, we created the Courtroom 21 Court Affiliates, an organization of those state, federal, and non-United States courts interested in the efficient, economical, and sound use of courtroom and related technology. In return for an annual subscription fee, Court Affiliates receive a variety of services, including consulting by courtroom technology designer Martin Gruen, access to a password protected web-site, and attendance at the annual Court Affiliates Conference. The Affiliates also assist us in our experimental work.

Our founding Affiliates, the United States District Court for the District of Oregon and the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida, field-tested in actual cases our protocol for jury room technology-assisted deliberations. Assistant Director Celeste Vaughn has primary responsibility for the Court Affiliates Program.
